Austin Indie Underground Studio System Wraps Romp Through $3.5M Estate

The Wolfpack Film Group, a consortium of independent filmmakers in Austin Texas, wrapped on 48 hours of artistic exercise at "Austin's Most High-Tech Home," a $3.5 million estate in the Hill Country, July 13th. The group, founded by Producer Robin Blesch, WPFG Studios, brought together over 100 people from multiple entertainment-related industries from all over Texas and other states for creative play in the name of art.

Austin, Texas (PRWEB) July 17, 2008 -- The Wolfpack Film Group, a consortium of independent filmmakers in Austin Texas, wrapped on 48 hours of artistic exercise at "Austin's Most High-Tech Home," a $3.5 million estate in the Hill Country, July 13, 2008. The group, founded by Producer Robin Blesch, WPFG Studios, brought together over 100 people from multiple entertainment-related industries from all over Texas and other states for creative play in the name of art.

Thirty-seven models and actors role-played while eight photographers and one video crew followed the living art unflowing on the canvas of the estate. A video from this weekend can be seen at: http://www.wpfgstudios.com/wpws004.html

Austin's Most High-Tech Home
Work/Play took on a serious tone as CSA Casting Director Barbara Brinkley and Talent Agent Justin Brown of JB Models and Talent closely watched the attendees. Brinkley, who has been in the business for over 30 years and cast for most of Hollywood's top studios, gave advice and answered questions about the industry.

"Robin has started something unique and good, this is not a typical photography event," said Justin Brown, who moved from Los Angeles to start the modeling and talent agency.

Michael Morlan, a prominent Director of Photography in Texas, participated as a lighting and directing mentor, and Robin Blesch acted as creative director, producer and host.

What started as a portfolio-building workshop for local actors and models evolved into a event culminating with several of the models selected for representation by JB Models and Talent. Some of these models will be attending the IMTA (International Models and Talent) in New York next week with their new photos.

Blesch said, "Finding, connecting, and hiring talented people is my job. The weekend's success is partially due to the fact that the many Wolfpack Film Group members that took on this project not only work well with each other but also welcomed new faces. My crew worked as hard as they could, and so did the Talent. I love hosting these events, because they open the doors of opportunity to people. I want to thank all who participated with us (http://www.wpfgstudios.com/workshops/crew.html)."

The Wolfpack Film Group is a consortium of production companies, producers, directors, writers, filmmakers, and support crew members, and in only a few short years the Wolfpack has risen to prominence in Austin under Mrs. Blesch by pooling their resources much like a studio system to make feature films, music videos, commercials, and more.

In 2007 WPFG Studios produced 47 global commercials for Match.com (which still run on Myspace and Yahoo, and are currently spoofed on Youtube), and brought other out-of-state projects to Austin. The Wolfpack Film Group has worked with agencies from LA, Boston, and New York on projects like this Maidenform bra commercial -- http://www.wpfgstudios.com/adwork/index.html.

WPFG Studios and the Wolfpack Film Group's main focus is producing high quality independent feature films, and Blesch is now in pre-production on their next feature film to be shot on a remote island in the Caribbean this year (more information on that film to be released soon). Post-production on their last feature film "Anything for Now," should be complete by the end of the year.
